Critical Encounters is a design research practice led by Mahwish Khalil. The practice centers on documenting responses to shifting climate cultures and puts forth alternate imaginaries that counter normative design discourse rooted in binary representation. Bridging the fields of architecture, climate, and culture, it continually questions the boundaries of design within its cultural and historical context.
